Triple win for YESSS Electrical

Mayor press visitElectrical wholesaler YESSS Electrical is celebrating achieving three different industry accreditations, demonstrating the company’s commitment to quality, sustainability and safety.

Less than two years after opening its first branch and within 10 months of starting the accreditation process, YESSS has been awarded ISO 9001 for Quality Management, ISO 14001 for Environmental Management and OHSAS 18001 for Health and Safety, becoming the first electrical wholesaler to hold all three.

The ISO9001 accreditation addresses various aspects of quality management, ensuring YESSS has the structure in place to ensure its products and services meet the needs of its varied customer base, whilst ISO 14001 demonstrates that YESSS meets rigorous international standards for minimising the company’s impact on the environment.  YESSS has also successfully completed OHSAS 18001 certification in Occupational Health and Safety Management, helping the business create safer working and retail environments.

YESSS Electrical launched in 2012 and is now one of the UK’s fastest growing companies, having opened 85 branches in just 18 months, creating 800 jobs and achieving turnover of more than £100million.

The company was presented with its certification by Mayor of Wakefield, Sandra Pickin and Mayoress, Samantha Buet.

Andy Singleton, Director at YESSS, said: “Achieving these three accreditations reaffirms our commitment to doing things differently.  We believe we are the only national UK wholesaler to hold all three and it required a real team effort to achieve the certification.  Hopefully we’ve demonstrated that, as a company, we are constantly monitoring and measuring our own performance in order to improve the service we provide to customers.”
