Training is a key theme for next year’s ACR Show

The ACR Show returns to the NEC, Birmingham, from 16-18 February 2016. It is the only national exhibition for the air conditioning, ventilation, refrigeration, heating and heat pump sectors.

The ACR show attracts visitors from a range of sectors including building services, central/local government, retail, leisure, hospitality, transport, manufacturing, healthcare, education, utilities and more.

The Institute of Refrigeration (IOR) has confirmed plans to host its 2016 Conference at the Show. The show also has the backing of the Building & Engineering Services Association (B&ES), the Federation of Environmental Trade Associations (FETA) and REFCOM.

Besides a fantastic line up of exhibitors will be a topical seminar programme in the three main theatres – the Air Conditioning & Heat Pump Theatre; the Refrigeration & Cooling Theatre and the Training & Careers Theatre, sponsored by Toshiba Carrier. A number of sessions will be CPD accredited.

Training and careers are key themes for the 2016 event. David Dunn, General Manager of Toshiba Air Conditioning said: “Our sponsorship of the Training & Careers Theatre at The ACR Show reflects and demonstrates the importance we attribute to training, not just for the future of Toshiba but for the future of the industry as a whole. Training the next generation of installers and designers is vital.

“The need for training has been heightened by the rapid advances in technology and practices as a result of new environmental legislation, particularly in relation to energy efficiency, refrigerants and health and safety.”

The event organiser is Datateam Business Media Ltd, publishers of Electrical Wholesaler.
