November issue out now!

Energy management & Net Zero

Welcome to the November issue of Electrical Wholesaler!

I feel like I say this every month, but I really do believe that we’ve got a particularly good set of features for you in this issue, with a number of interesting technical reads looking towards the future of the sector.

Special mention goes to Schneider Electric, who not only provided the cover story for this month’s issue – highlighting the importance of adopting digital products and offerings, page 10 – but also contributed an excellent and topical piece on energy management (page 18), in which David Hall explains why the transition to smart grids is essential for the future of the UK energy sector.

Elsewhere in the issue, ThermoSphere shares the results of its recent report on the carbon impact of multiple domestic heating systems, using SAP 2012 and SAP 10 calculations. Take a look at the findings on page 20.

On page 38, meanwhile, Vent-Axia’s Lena Hebestreit looks at the latest ventilation must-haves for the growing number of households looking to update their bathroom.

Finally, as always, you can take a look through our regular news, views, product and installation features from market-leading businesses across the sector. This month’s highlights include a review of the Smart Buildings Show in London (31), an update from ToughBuilt on the importance of kneepad usage (37), and an educational piece from Ovia on the DALI protocol and its implications for smart lighting and connected controls (32).

Happy reading!
