LARV from Luceco lights the way in Villahermosa

Luceco México has supplied large quantities of the LARV highway luminaire to the city of Villahermosa, Tabasco, during a recent road enhancement programme. Villahermosa is the capital city of Tabasco State, in the southeast of Mexico.

LARV from Luceco lights the way in Villahermosa The LARV LED fixtures were installed to illuminate the main highway leading to the city airport. 120W LARV luminaires were selected by the municipality to replace 250W traditional fixtures to improve the quality of the roadway lighting and significantly reduce energy consumption as well as delays on the highway due to routine maintenance.

LARV is an ultra slim IP66 rated LED luminaire with a diecast aluminium rugged housing with a precision moulded anti UV polycarbonate lens optic. LARV ensures minimal light pollution with no up-light element with modern and slender styling designed to minimize wind resistance.

LARV is compatible with horizontal or vertical, 48 mm or 60 mm mounting bracket options and resistant to vandalism and impacts of up to IK10. LARV offers 50,000 hours working life and savings of up to 75% when compared with fixtures fitted with 400W High Intensity Discharge lamps. The LED luminaire installation in Villahermosa has not only saved considerable maintenance over the lifetime of the luminaire but also provided a more pleasing and environmentally friendly lit environment with the benefit of substantial financial savings!
