EW July issue out now!

The July issue of Electrical Wholesaler has arrived!

This month, we reveal the winners of the EW Awards 2020. Unfortunately due to COVID-19 we had to make the difficult decision to cancel the live event in order to ensure the health and safety of guests. However, with the judging complete, we were still able to announce the winners and highly commended across a wide range of categories. Take a look at page 17 for part one of our celebratory EW Awards supplement, and please join us in congratulating the outstanding wholesalers and manufacturers that have demonstrated innovation, hard work and exemplary customer service in the past year.

This issue has ended up with a clear focus on the environment and on ‘greener’ electrical options. On page 24, we share Recolight’s insights into the product design legislation that will impose new requirements on products sold in the EU, and on the UK Government’s plans to make the economy more circular. Page 28, meanwhile, sees manufacturer of lighting for industrial, harsh and hazardous environments Chalmit explain the importance of making lighting choices that benefit both the environment and a business’s bottom line.

On the regulations side, this issue provides our readers with an update on the new electrical safety standards for the private rented sector (page 22), as well as insights from ESP into the impact of Fire Safety Regulations BS5839-6: 2019  (page 26).

With an update on the role of Ventilation for infection control, as well as editorial from Procell and Hamilton looking at their latest product ranges, I hope you enjoy this latest issue of EW.

Happy reading!
