Scolmore’s dual appliance connection unit saves time and money

Providing a quick, simple and safe solution where an electric hob and cooker are being installed as separate appliances, is Scolmore’s 45A dual appliance connection unit (PRW217).

Part of the company’s Polar range, it was designed specifically to deal with the problems associated with traditional cooker connection plates which have three terminals, where the incoming and outgoing cables have to be terminated into the same terminal.

It provides separate terminations for each incoming and outgoing cable core and allows the incoming cable to be terminated on its own, with the outdoing cable treated separately afterwards without the need to disturb the incoming cable connection. All terminals accept up to 16mm² twin and earth cabling.

There are separate cable restraints for both of the outgoing cables and knock outs for each outgoing cable if required. It will fit directly onto a single accessory back box (as little as 25mm deep) and can be flush or surface mounted.

Because it is easier and faster to install, it is another simple solution that will help save valuable time and money.
