Rexel UK awarded gold for sustainability

Electrical distributor, Rexel UK is celebrating after being awarded gold level membership of the Supply Chain Sustainability School.

Rexel secured the membership after successfully demonstrating its ongoing commitment to sustainability and will now work alongside the organisation and its other members to share best practice throughout the construction and facilities management industries.

Chris Gibson, Corporate Sales Director at Rexel UK, said: “Sustainability is one of our core values here at Rexel which is why we are thrilled to achieve gold level membership of the Supply Chain Sustainability School.

“By working alongside the school, and its partners, we are confident we can improve sustainability across the industry, while also furthering our own learning from best-in-class practice from across a number of industries.”

Rexel UK’s latest award comes just months after the business was certified to four globally recognised ISO and OHSAS standards across its entire UK business, including certification for its environmental and energy management systems.

The Supply Chain Sustainability School is an industry wide collaboration to help its members build, maintain and operate more sustainable buildings.

Developed for organisations working across construction and FM, both in residential and commercial environments, the school covers a wealth of topics from Waste and Carbon Fairness Inclusion, Respect and The Modern Slavery Act.
