Housing provider chooses multi-sensor alarms for their enhanced features

Award winning AudioLINK data
extraction technology is
incorporated into the
Ei2110e.

Aico’s premium Ei2110e Multi-Sensor Fire Alarm is being specified for all 10,000 Coast and Country Housing properties to provide the best fire response for tenants.

Established in 2001, Coast and Country Housing is the largest registered housing provider in Redcar and Cleveland, with estates in urban areas, seaside resorts and rural villages.

Coast and Country Housing is a committed Aico alarm installer, with nearly all 10,000 properties benefiting from quality Aico Smoke Alarms. In order to provide the best protection for tenants, the housing provider has upgraded itsspecification to the sole use of Aico’s Multi-Sensor Fire Alarms.

For Mark Dale, Electrical Services Manager at Coast and Country Housing, the alarms were the natural choice: “The new Multi-Sensor comes with a range of enhanced features. AudioLINK data extraction technology is of particular interest. We will be looking at the best ways of using AudioLINK for our requirements, but already I can see it being useful as an aid to creating a more accurate response to a fault; it will provide us with an indication as to why that device might be sounding.”

Aico’s mains powered Multi-Sensor Fire Alarm Ei2110e contains two sensor types, optical and heat, to constantly monitor smoke and heat levels through its intelligent detection software. This sensor information alters the alarm’s sensitivity and trigger points, automatically providing the best response to all fire types and reduces potential false alarms.

Award winning AudioLINK data extraction technology is incorporated into the Ei2110e, which enables real time data to be extracted from each alarm using a smartphone or tablet and a free App to create an Alarm Status Report.

The Ei2110e also comes with RadioLINK+ wireless interconnection technology which provides whole systems data extraction and monitoring.

Coast and Country Housing will be installing two Ei2110e Alarms per property, located in the circulation areas upstairs and downstairs, interlinked for maximum audibility, in line with best practice and British Standards.

The alarms will be fitted as part of a replacement programme as and when existing alarms come to the end of their lives. To ensure installations run smoothly, Coast and Country Housing engineers have taken part in Aico’s free Expert Installer scheme.
