Hamilton named Best Manufacturer 2018 at Voltimum’s Smart Solutions Awards

Hamilton Litestat was voted the Best Manufacturer 2018 at Voltimum’s Smart Solutions Awards, held on 10 October 2018 at The Digital Construction Hub, UK Construction Week 2018, at Birmingham’s NEC.

The highly-prized accolade comes following Hamilton’s significant investment and support in promoting the smart control sector over the past 18 months, with the brand working hard to dispel myths around complicated installation and programming through training, education and youth marketing activities.

“The Smart Solutions Awards have always been our chance to say thank you to manufacturer’s hard work and to recognise their commitment to developing high calibre, highly skilled electrical professionals of the future,” says Rodney Jack, Editor at Voltimum UK & Ireland Ltd. “In the ‘Best Manufacturer 2018’ category, the judges were deeply impressed by Hamilton Litestat’s commitment to educating and training the marketplace over the past year. I congratulate Hamilton Litestat as a finalist and, of course, as a winner.”

The master of ceremonies was the BBC’s Steph McGovern, and the award was presented to Steve Dyer, Managing Director of Hamilton’s PR agency, Oil the Wheels by Margaret Fitzsimons, CEO of the EDA.

Gavin Williams, Marketing Manager at Hamilton Litestat, says: “We’re thrilled to have won the Best Manufacturer 2018 Award. We were up against stiff competition and to have been recognised by industry-leading organisation Voltimum is a real honour. Smart controls and easy-access education are two things that we are very passionate about, so to be recognised for our initiatives that span these areas is an affirmation that we’re providing the best possible support for the industry and installers.”

The British, family-run electricals and wiring accessories supplier was named Best Manufacturer 2018 as the judges recognised the company as a thought-leading brand that consistently brings innovative products and services to market, while being committed to installer training and support. Its recent activities include producing step-by-step tutorial videos; offering free monthly training courses; providing training aids to West Herts College, and holding a ‘Smart Lighting Control Challenge’ at ELEX events to illustrate how easy it is to wire one dimmer pack and a control plate.
