EW Awards winners 2018 announced at prestigious London event

Wholesalers, manufacturers and their guests gathered at the prestigious Tower Hotel London on May 10th, to celebrate the best of the best in this year’s EW Awards 2018. The Electrical Wholesaler Awards, organised by Electrical Wholesaler Magazine, are now in their fifth year and there were a host of new names amongst the award winners this year (see below for winners’ list).

Following a champagne reception, with the magnificent Tower Bridge as a backdrop, the evening’s proceedings began with some great comedy from Sean Collins, who proved to be a popular compere and host, keeping guests entertained throughout the evening, ahead of his appearance on Live at the Apollo.

Voted for by industry peers, in addition to judging by a panel of industry experts, this year’s awards attracted a high level of high calibre entries.

Our 2018 judges were: Richard Pagett (Aria PR), John Sheppard (eTrader websites), Eddie Embleton (Voltimum) and Debbie Eales (Electrical Wholesaler).

Going the extra mile

EW Awards organiser, Mike Gammon, said: “The Electrical Wholesaler Awards have been designed to provide the perfect opportunity for wholesalers and suppliers alike to celebrate those within their industry who go that extra mile and stand out in their sector.

“Our sincerest gratitude, of course, goes to all of our sponsors for their ongoing support and belief in what we are doing to celebrate this fine industry. Without this generous backing, none of what you see at this event is possible, and we at Electrical Wholesaler do not take this for granted for one moment.”

This year’s sponsors were: Knightsbridge, Lyvia Electrical Ltd, Scolmore Group and Selectric. The event was also supported by Electrical Times, the Electrical Industries Charity and Voltimum.

Adds Mike Gammon: “We would also like to thank everyone who took par in the process of selecting tonight’s shortlist, highly commended and winners.”

A raffle during the evening raised £850 for the Electrical Industries Charity.
