Allen Crossley, General Manager of Clynder Cables, has retired after 22 years with the company.

Allen first joined Clynder Cables from British Driver Harris in 1992 and worked at the company’s Huyton site as Commercial Director, managing the production and sales.

In 2002 he oversaw the company’s move to its present site in Miles Platting, Manchester.

Recently, as General Manager, Allen oversaw the sale of Clynder Cables from the Hostombe Group to its new owners Davro Investments Ltd, enabling a smooth transition and preserving the jobs of seven staff.

Allen said: “I am happy to be leaving the company in a strong position and in capable hands.”

Assistant General Manager Oliver Hingston, who became General Manager last month, said: “I would like reiterate our thanks to Allen for his many years of hard work. I am looking forward to the challenge of taking this business forward over the coming years.”

Jeanette Forster formerly of Fine Wires Ltd. in Leigh became Commercial Manager on July 1.
