Energy recovery from Xpelair

Xpelair Ventilation Solutions has launched a new range of high efficiency, energy recovery ventilation units for the non-residential sector, designed to meet and surpass the energy efficiency requirements of the building regulations.

Ideal for commercial applications, Xpelair’s Xcell EC range utilises the latest in energy efficient technology offering a reduction of heating and cooling requirements of up to 94% by recovering energy from the dirty extract ventilation and transferring it to the incoming fresh air. The units satisfy and exceed the requirements of the current Building Regulations Part L2 for the conservation of fuel and power. The Xcell range incorporates a number of technologies aimed at delivering optimal indoor air quality with minimal energy consumption including an aluminium counterflow heat exchanger with Eurovent certified ratings of up to 94% and high efficiency EC motors with backward curved impellers for lower running costs.

The units also feature an inbuilt Demand Controlled Ventilation system that moderates the fresh air supply and dirty extract airflow rate automatically based on the number of occupants and adjusts the airflow accordingly.
