Venture Lighting’s new V5 system provides high efficiency, highly controllable HID lighting for a wide range of applications. It comprises advanced electronic control gear and metal halide lamps (optimised to work in harmony for maximum efficiency) as well as a specially designed reflector.

The V5 system delivers efficiencies of around 93%, can be dimmed down to 10% of full lumen output and offers lamp life of 30,000 hours with a maintained lumen output of 85%. Its performance is not limited by ambient temperatures and dimming extends lamp life, rather than potentially reducing lamp life, as with T5 fluorescent lamps.

As such the V5 system offers many advantages over older style HID lighting and the T5 fluorescent systems that are increasingly being used in high bay and low bay applications.

Key features include the fact that the lamps and control gear are optimised to work with each other and five wattages of lamp are available (200W to 400W). In addition the V5 system offers 30,000 hour life with standard lamps (compared to 25,000 for T5), 93% efficiency and 85% maintained lumen output (comparable to T5).

It is also dimmable to 10% of lumen output using DALI or 1-10V signal and compatible with leading photocells and presence/absence detectors.

The V5 system leverages the advances that have been made in Venture’s metal halide lamp technology and control gear, optimising performance even further with an innovative reflector design initiated by Venture. V5 offers building operators a highly efficient system with a fast payback and opens the doors to more cost effective, low carbon lighting in high bay and low bay applications.
