Moss Electrical Co Ltd is bucking the trend in current difficult times by increasing the number of delivery routes and adding four new vehicles to cater for its ever increasing customer base.
Chris Homer, Commercial Director commented: “Our latest investment is part of a wider commitment to constantly improve our delivery vehicles in order to ensure that our customers benefit from the most reliable service available.”
The company has also recently invested in a vehicle tracking system to track delivery vehicles in real time, anytime using a PC. The system uses GPS satellites to locate vehicles, and GPRS technology to ensure that their positions and vehicle log data are constantly updated. Vehicle logs and timesheets are also sent by email each morning for maximum convenience.
More importantly the new tacking system has a number of benefits including the ability to schedule the movement of vehicles and give approximate arrival times at final destinations
Lindsay Goubel, Operations Director said: “We are using the web based tracking system to locate our vehicles, analyse their routes and check that they are using the most environmentally friendly routes available to service the growing requirements of our customer base. We always go the extra mile to ensure that our clients benefit from added value service enhancements wherever possible.”
EW is the only monthly UK trade title dedicated to the wholesaler and bulk-buying sectors of the electrical industry.
