Electrical magazines team up to help EEIBA

It’s not often that the electrical press join together but that’s exactly what we are doing with editors from some of the leading titles in the electrical trade press joining together to raise money for our industry charity the EEIBA. A team comprising of Joe Bush (Electrical Engineering), Jonathan Cole (Professional Electrician), Michael Crane (Electrical Contracting News), Ben Cronin, Steve Hardiman and Hazel Swain (Electrical Times) and Electrical Wholesaler’s very own Tracey Rushton- Thorpe will take part in the 24-hour Three Peaks Challenge on the weekend of 8-9 May.

The team of seven will attempt to climb Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon within a 24-hour time period. All groups entering the challenge will be expected to navigate for themselves and organise their own transport between the three peaks and, with over 25 miles of walking and climbing of some 10,000 feet, this is rightly considered to be an extremely demanding challenge.

The team hope that by joining together we can raise as much money as possible for the EEIBA and because the NICEIC has generously donated the money for our entrance fee, every pound that we raise will be donated to charity.

We don’t expect you to join us for the climbing but the least you can do is part with a bit of cash for this very worthy cause by visiting our dedicated website

All donations will be gratefully accepted and we will publish the names of any company or individual that donates over £250 in the June issue of the magazine.

As many readers of Electrical Wholesaler will already be aware, the EEIBA is enduring a lean period at the moment due to a drastic drop in donations and soaring applications for assistance, and it needs as much financial help as the industry can muster – help us to help them support our industry colleagues in their hour of need.
