Lewden acquire CGD Ltd

Lewden Electrical Industries has announced the acquisition of the majority shareholding in Control Gear (Direct) Ltd, the Kilmarnock based Electrical Products Manufacturer. Control Gear(Direct) Ltd designs, manufactures and markets a comprehensive, range of high quality consumer protection equipment, control gear, enclosures, and 3 phase distribution boards.

The day to day activities of Control Gear (Direct) Ltd will not be affected by the acquisition and the company will continue to operate from its Kilmarnock facility under the management of Robin Forsyth, who will also be joining the Lewden management team.

The products manufactured by Control Gear, compliment the extensive range offered by Lewden and Palazzoli, thus providing distributor partners and their customer’s with a much wider choice of electrical equipment within these markets.
